Not exactly. Its still cut into, there's just still 8 holes. I'll post some pics when i find my camera. I took pics and lost the camera, lol. I found that when you cut out this 8888 into this 0000 you lose air velocity. As funny as it sounds size does not matter. I thought the divider walls were a restriction in the upper rpms but they arent. They actually help keep air momentum up at higher rpms where the camshaft is out of efficiency. This only works to a certain extent. Since my operating rpms are below 7500 and my displacement is close to stock it works perfect. Not to mention who can argue with 3 more mpg in town.

Yeah, I don't understand all these people that get plenum spacers looking for more power. Isn't shorter air travel more efficient? I've got an SRI as well and cut that last curve in the pipe off so it's a shorter, more direct shot.

Anyway, keep on keepin' on, man, your build is such an inspiration. ... not that I'm going all motor if I can help it (s/c baby!) - or F22 anymore - but I absolutely love the formula!

Well generally you want your plenum on an N/A application to be about 2/3 the engine volume. The stock F22A plenum is nowhere near that, and even the H23 plenum might not be enough. So I think there's some sense to it. But intake manifold design is complicated.

sometime a shorter distance causes a drop in velocity. a shorter distance is good if velocity is kept up but if you dont have any velocity the air will just sit still so it wont matter the distance it has to travel. im not going to go crazy into detail just keep in mind that a 43mm runner, 13.5" in length with a 1100cc plentum, 68mm tb and 3" short ram cut to approx 16" is damn near perfect for a 5k rpm peak torque so it is well suited to the camshaft and header i am running.
notice how the camshaft peaks in torque around 5k. this was done with 2 stack plates with the 8 holes gutted to 4. im going back to 8 to regain velocity and im deleting the spacers to help with hp. i feel pretty confident i'll see 185-190whp. next summer is going to be the fun build though. 2.43L f22a and some of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_2121wt_939

I am surprised that brake kit is so cheap. I thought they were like 2-3K at least. Calipers and all, damn that is pretty good.

*EDIT* Damn and they fit under stock size wheels.... very good to know

thats why i want them, im ordering them with rotors cut for 5lug and im going to do a 5lug swap and run the 16" prelude blades off the 97-01's. i want a somewhat factory looking wheel so cops stay off my ass. i like being a sleeper, i dont get followed around. im going to swap to the v6 master and booster first though. i have them just kinda been lazy, lol.

also for anyone interested to know if you want to help stabilize your coil, run a ground wire from the base of the coil mount on the thermostat housing to the negative on the battery. i dont know for sure if it is just my car but my car was breaking up a little past 6k and just seemed sluggish at higher rpms now she ripps to 7.5k+ like its nothing. i'll take some more engine bay pics tomorrow and post em'. i cant wait to get this thing back on the rollers and tune it with proper fuel pressure. apparently its been 38psi at idle and about 45psi at WOT. now its set to 41@ idle and 52WOT but when i tune i think im going to set it 45@ idle. i want to change the spay patter and see if it helps with fuel atomization.

U can just get the 5 lug and have the rotors drilled to 4 lug

If u do go 5 lug get the Odyssey or 6th gen knuckle... the Prelude fucks up your geometry, I didn't like it

Hey man. I know you put a lot of work into your IM. But Quarterspeeddrag.com makes an adapter to put K series IMs on H22s. U prob know the H22 lower mani won't work on an F22A, but it wouldn't be too much work for them to make a one-off thing. People swap TSX manis onto 7th gen Accords just like we swap H23 IMs to ours... might be something worth checking out. A TSX IM is like $150 new, adapter kit (flanges to head + TB I think) are like $300. I want to give it a go when I get back in the game.

LOL, its funny you say that, I have access to a CNC machine and I'd imagine I could try this. All I need is a intake gasket for both intakes. The only other thing about an f22 is where will the thermostat housing bolt? On the h23 intake Mani there are provisions for it.
