    Thanks for the tips, every little bit is helpful. I just spent the whole morning reading and re-reading this whole forum http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=417604 alot of great tips for taking automotive shots! Im going to purchase a mini tripod or a desk tripod so I can get some low shots, hopefully theyre alright!

            For sure! That's a great way to "force" yourself to get used to the lens and branch out.

                That one is my fav of your last set. Is that still using your stock kit lens? That thing is way sharper than Canon Rebels kit lens, I've noticed. I was playing with a friends D60 the other day and actually liked it. A lot. I think I might be getting converted.

                  a big part of that may have been the screen, the nikon screen setup is worlds beyond canon, and kit lenses of both companies vary a bit due to the inexpensive way they are made..... not to say it wasnt sharper but usually when people shoot with a nikon the screen throws them off

                      Well I wasnt able to do the photoshoot, I had to travel out of town and I didnt make it back in time, plus there isnt any good places around here to take night shots nor do I have a flash that makes a night photoshoot worth it! On the positive side I picked up 2 mini tripods to get some extreme low angles, so next time I know Im gonna get some pretty cool shots.
