waiting for my headlights to seal up. basicly after tightening them up yesterday i dumb-assidly let the bulb melt some plastic sleeving on the relay harness didnt think they woould be that hot still after a few minutes. so there was a piece of plastic on the passenger bulb put it in the housing to continue adjusting the hot spot. and it smoked up inside.

this was the result. yellow in person compared to the right


i thought there was smoke just on the inside lense of the projector. no smoke in the morning but still not as bright. took them apart and found this




cleaned it all up with a little acetone on a microfiber towel


put them back together just about to put it back on the car and not repeat the same mistake. live and learn ooh perfect timing my alarm just went off

getting ready for rainy season

already got the rain-x latitude wipers,

fried the intermittent part of my wiper switch but got another one should be here tomorrow.

im not sure what the differrence is between the two products


but i rain-x ed the crap out of my windows. sort of by accident, tried the left one on my windsheild but its kind of hard to buff off, so i used the spray after it and just did that to all my windows even my sunroof haha. so it was spray, gel, spray

btw is there a tq spec for the acorn nuts on the wiper arms? i took them off to paint a while ago and didnt want to tighten them too much but i think theyre still too loose

things to do list

- install new Kenwood double din
- install antenna switch
- new spark plug wires Done
- new cone filter
- DC sports header and new gaskets up to cat
- remove sheared off exhaust manifold bolt and replace
- add horn honk with my alarm

Fuckin' A, the first day we got a Tornado. To top it off, down the street from my old place. WHICH IS 2 MINUTES AWAAAAAAAAY!

Also the bay is looking damn fine. Everything looks at home. You should shave the valve cover, polish it and then get it powder coated bronze for a MIRROR finish!

What you mean shave the vc? Like the bracket that holds the wires up?

i just checked pick n pull's web site and a valve cover is 17.49 + 3.99 core. thats a damn good idea alex! im gunna try to pick one up tommorrow on my way home from work its like 1.5 miles from my house.
