Got my VIS CF Hood Redone!

Just got my CF hood back from the guy reclearing it today. I drove 35 miles with no hood, half way there in pouring rain just to get it haha. It was so worth it. The reflection is KILLER! I'm impressed with the work he did. All for only 70 bucks.

Skunk2 Intake Manifold install

Well I managed to remove the screw that was ground off originally on the IACV. First I tried the screw remover drill tool, which snapped inside the screw. So I said fuck it, I busted out my dremel, bought those reinforced cutoff wheels and went to town on the head.

I cut enough to break the torque between the IACV and the head of the screw and sure enough, I was then able to use my vise grips and easily remove it.

Eventually got around to installing the IM just temporarily. I think I might have to loctite the 12mm nuts holding it on since my Hondata IM gasket is a lot thicker than the stock OEM one. Luckily my arm is skinny enough where I can reach all the bottom nuts without having to jack the car up and go from underneath. Suprisingly, if you put the bolts in the IACV when installing it, it'll fit back there with about an inch and a half of clearance from the firewall.

Also got my Iceman intake to work. Modified the bracket that holds it up in the front. But had to remove the underhood black box outta the way since the throttle body is located further back then the OEM IM. Will probably fab up a bracket to still be able to use those mounting fixtures so it'll hang nicely on the firewall.

Skunk2 IM is installed, axles, sensors, vacuum lines etc, are all done. Car is finally up and running after a 1 month hiatus.

I installed different fuel injectors since mine had cracked tips and one was showing the pintle on the side.

Also found out that my EGR system on the OEM H22 manifold was VERY clogged with carbon build up so that's most likely the reason why I was getting such a shitty idle, gas mileage (21mpg mostly highway) and why my acceleration felt very vague, sometimes it would go and sometimes felt delayed.

But this new Skunk2 IM makes my VTEC scream, its so sonorous that I'm loving my coupe in a whole new way again.

Also, on the highway, the RPMs are now at 3400 at 80mph, so gas mileage should improve tremendously.

Apexi WS2 Installed and 70MM BLOX Throttle body

This was a great week for car mods, weather was nice so I took advantage of it and installed my Apexi WS2 Exhaust and BLOX 70mm Throttle body.

The exhaust went on rather easily since I already had my RSR on there before from not too long back. What I found interesting was the Apexi comes in 3 pieces vs the 2 pieces of the RSR and my older Greddy Evo2 catback.

Ground clearance isn't as great, this exhaust doesn't hug the car as well as the RSR did but it is A LOT quieter than my RSR was and the muffler is UBER shiny with the highest quality polished Stainless Steel I've seen. It's a quiet exhaust on the highway as well as on the streets.

Also did my 70mm Blox throttle body install today. I took off my Iceman intake and installed my larger Prelude AEM CAI on there so it matches the increased size a lot better and sounds a lot deeper/meaner when in VTEC.

Got a new 3" K&N cone filter to go along with it since my old one had seen better days.

RSR is just slightly longer, maybe .75"

RSR is wider, but Apexi WS2 is taller

Resonators are about the same size



RSR is longer because of it being a 2 piece design vs. the 3 piece design of the Apexi WS2

yeah the bracket on the D/S kinda comes in a bit, so the P/S line is moved slightly but I didn't really have any issues on the install. Took me maybe 10 min to swap my old one out for this one.
