Well I don't think these assholes are reving there engine to clear out carbon. But believe what you want.

The fact remains that stock Z06 on a their best day run 12.9, most run 13.5's and a regualr C5 runs 14.1-14.3 most run much higher because of there drivers. I KNOW I whip these things asses, and I'm sure 2.6 can do much worse.

It doesn't matter whats under the hood weather it's a 4 banger or 8 the times don't lie, you mean to tell me just because they have 4 more cylinders they are faster?

You're obviously ignorant when it comes this and further more you probably drive an import because you can't afford the big block domestic that's dick you pull so hard.

You really need to be educated then... If you go back and actually read the post, I stated that the race (on the street) was close. I also stated that I got paired up with another Zo6 on the track and I beat that car also. I am in no way saying that my car is "king of all that is Zo6...", but that the guy I raced on the street was cocky and got beat. The guy at the track was also suprised. I am sure with more seat time, he would have his vette even lower in the E.T.'s outdoing my car, but at this time he has not done it. Driver skill definately makes times improve. Just curious if you have ever heard of a power to weight ratio? Figure that out then tell me that it is impossible for me to beat a Zo6 on the street. Oh yeah... my car with me in it weighs 2570lbs. I weigh 190, so that with the info in my sig you should be able to do a quick comparison with a stock Zo6. Happy calculating.

how can you dispute the facts? we have all seen his dyno charts (close to 250whp) and his times. so lets see 13.07 is what his car runs. a z06 runs 12.9 with magazine drivers that do it for a living. obviously it is quite possible for some owner to not have the same level of skills and just being half a second slower would make 2.6 faster. btw his car was featured in scc in case you think hes just making the whole thing up or something.

How about the 4 cylinder Formula 1 and 2 cars? Even better, the thousand + horsepower B18's that have become commonplace at drag events? We aren't ignorant, you are. Displacement is not the only option for creating power... hell, Formula 1 cars today only pump 3 liters at a time.
Not only do I believe the story that we're debating now, but I believe it more than any other kill story I'd read anywhere else on this board. 2point6 has one of the fastest, if not the fastest, all motor accords in the country, and he built it himself. I've seen his timeslips, I've seen his car - it's stupid fast. His 13.4 is even more remarkable considering he has a full interior.

First of all I am talking about the present. If I was talking about years ago there would be no comparison. If you all would choose a honda over an old 60 or 70's car your screwed up in the head. They could come from factory with the high 300 to low 400 hp. Not to mention the plethora of aftermarket parts and the fact that you can go to junkyards and find parts easily. Before you know it you can have almost 1000hp if not more and you dont waste all the money on worthless appearance mods like so many of you all do. Enough said!!!!!!

Your Car(with you in it)-250hp-2570lbs.----Divide and get .0972
Z06(with a 190lb person)-405hp-3404lbs.--Divide and get .1189

Which means the Z06 has a better racing ratio. I even rounded your hp up in case you were having a really good day. So before you get real cocky go back to elementary school and learn how to correctly divide and shut up. Once again you want to talk to me when you dont know what your talking about.

The reason chevy has been producing the vette for so long is because its a great car. Its not my favorite car so i'm not trying to put it up but think about it, they have stayed with the smae concept of a high performance 2 seater since the beginning. Accords wont last as long because they are a cheap car aimed so tons of customers can afford them. How people out there wish they had a accord, compare that to how many people wish they had a vette. the only reason it has lasted as long as it has is because they have put out so many different models and they have people who dont realize they can go out and buy an older american car and get real performance for half the price.

I don't think this post was about the limitations of a 4 cylinder. Maybe you should go back and read the entire thing again. How are you saying that I don't know the difference between a 4 and 8 cylider? I never stated a fact about that to begin with. The only claim I made was 2 wins... If you would quit dodging my point about power to weight and talking around the subject, you might figure out there is knowledge to be gained. I am not bashing the corvette, just simply the arrogant driver who started the street race.

Let me be clear here by asking you this; you think I am an uneducated ricer, who doesn't know what the difference is between a v8 and an i4, right? So, I should not post because I don't know what I am saying? I seems you are the minority here, so maybe you should not post...

You still have yet to take into account driver experiance and the fact that he actually has time slips to back up his story! He's not lieing it's a proven fact, you are arguing a dead issue. His car has beat a Z06 at the track, it is documented, and proven.
