this summer is going to be spent on appearance once boost is installed.

I wanna know how to make my baby shine!

well is gunna need some skins, because:
driver side rear door has a slice in it.
pass side 1/4 panel has rust.

and some other things.
also wanna make my grill and eyelids into 1 piece.
after modifying the grill so it doesnt flex.

so yah talk about that later tho.
see how life is with the baby.

YAAAY! This is exactly what I like to see! I'm excited to see that DSM turbo block off plate idea i gave you go into practice, I've not seen anyone use anything like it so I guess you're the first. Things are looking really nice on the front side of your engine

ya figured why not. the plate is prety solid. but we shall see under exhaust pressure.
worst case is it leaks a little bit. maybe a little JB weld can fix that.
this is a temp fix. just until I get the boost going.

little worried, but if I gotta pull it, i will find some way to get it to work.
I am positive everything will be fine tho.

If it leaks, all you need is a more thick piece of steel. 1/4 inch works good. I'm pretty sure you could find something. I'd just hate to see you jb weld that little plate in there to the exhaust housing, only to have the JB weld break and be left with a messed up turbo exhaust side. The concept is solid, but your part may be the weakest link.

yah if it leaks, luckily it is easy to take off.
I will just have a machine shop make me a piece to exact specifications.
still better than redoing exhaust to get it back the stock way.

esp when its gunna get boosted!

sorry been at the vanderbuilt childrens hospital since monday with my son.

keep the backup filters in the injectors, as for running no boost with those.. ehh it's gona be hard to determin the health of your engine when it's running super rich.

true with the richness but I will still be able to get a compression test done.
and look for oil leaks and such.
I also will be able to get the clutch broken in.

that is my main focus.
Should be fine running rich.

Everything will be ok. I know it.
The engine is happy i did not paint it red. hahaha!

h23 is running!

exhaust is not loud at all. but has a small leak.
It will work for now.

need to install the h23 injectors, runnin way rich.
and figure out my small idle issue.
easy stuff. but it is running.

damn the exhaust is loud without my turbo!

NICE!!! It'll probably sound WAY better with a turbo sitting in there since the fins of the exhaust turbine will help muffle the tone down a bit.

so just some minor modifications.
finish suspension back in.
and ready to rawk!
