Car is looking better and better.

So all together, how many wires did you have to extend for the tuck?

thanks. maybe 6 or 7, and 4 of those were shortening.

haha yeah man... sounds crazy right. the mr12s are relatively heavy compared to the slips... i love them, but i cant keep the slips forever. i need to change the look of the car, and what ive always wanted were painted lips and mouldings and 17" MR12s. i wont keep them forever, probably just until i wear out the tires (which im getting a set soon), then ill look for something lighter. im selling the rotas to Coco probably, but right now they are my only good set of wheels so im going to ride on them.

              eh whatever

made some more progress after work today.

i took more stuff out of the engine bay. clutch master cyl, more rubber and plastic plugs, and all the remaining nuts and bolts. i relocated the hood latch cable through the frame rail. i taped and masked over everything and sanded down the entire engine bay. i started painting, got through 4 of those small cans of frost white paint before i ran out and had to stop. so ill let that dry and get more and continue tomorrow, since theres still areas that need paint (mostly the driver side), and other areas that need 1+ more coats...

anyway heres some pictures. the Pirouette can is completely full to the brim with all of the nuts and bolts and clips that ive pulled off of the car...

Just me but I would've rhino-lined the engine bay.

                  Edit

Oh and where the VIN tag is stamped in the engine bay it would be either red or blue...

Good luck with all the work, why no more abs though? Don't really like the feeling I get when my wheel lock up on me in the rain. Just wish I had another car so I could do such little precise tedious things like your doing. Keep up the good work.

i like when the brakes do what i want them to do. if they lock up, ill deal with them, i dont want the car pulsing the pedal under my foot for me. also in gravel when taking tight turns it starts pulsing on me and its really annoying. plus, all that SHIT in the engine bay, it takes up such a HUGE amount of room. i couldnt deal with that anymore, whenever i saw an LX bay again i got jealous. missed having extra room to work when i had my LX. also, theres something im installing that needs to go where the old ABS block by the fusebox was and lastly, looks a lot cleaner with 1 line across the engine bay instead of 6.

I agree, Thats the only positive I like in ABS (doesn't lock up) besides that, IT WILL start going crazy for the slightest changes in the road even when your not giving it too much. Yea, the ABS definetly does atake up alot of space uner the hood, besides who wants to see all that orange anyways

BTW, has excalibur02 had any luck selling that motor yet?

haha talk to bryan (brian?) he told me he was going to ur house tonight, i would have stopped by but i was kinda tied up, as you can see. and yeah i went to order that piece of crap but its out of stock at the store AND the warehouse? wtf is that about... anyway yeah i figured id just go for the new/reman one. might as well, he was nice enough to cancel the core charge for me, $135 is manageable...

i also bought one of those rear window hidden antennas of course THAT they had in stock, not the thing i REALLY wanted...

Damn, looks really good Mike. I've got to say at first I wanted ABS bad, but after you get really used to the car it's better not to have it. Plus, like you said the extra space you gain is crazy.....
