i have type s cams and skunk valves springs (still in box) if you need them or you wanna put the cams in while ur head is off but i doubt it still is. 200 for brand new valves and thats shipped.

i already have type-s (euro-r) cams and ferrea springs and retainers

and yes the head is still off, the new exhaust valves should be arriving at my machine shop any day now, once he puts them in, ill be getting the head back to reinstall.

finally got it taken apart and took pics.

apparently a lack of oil (pressure?) made two of the vtec rockers on the exhaust side get extremely worn. are there small oil squirters on the cam caps or something? perhaps mine were clogged i havent looked at them yet. anyway the cam is fine (minor wear) as are all other rocker arms, but i need to replace the two. i measured and compared the h22a4 rockers with the euro-r rockers and they seem to be identical. other people have used h22a1 and h22a4 rockers interchangeably so im assuming all h22 rockers are the same... as a precaution, im cleaning out the vtec solenoid and using a brand new screen.

to be honest, i never would have noticed this happening if i didnt bend the valves and have to take the head all apart again. if it had gone much longer, the damage could have been MUCH worse (funny how that happens). the 8 new valves were $140 and labor to install them was $90. not including the cost of a new HG and cam seals (~$65), or what im going to end up spending on two more rocker arms to replace the ones i got from mauricio.

im taking my time with this because even if i get the head back on, im not going to drive the car until i replace at least the upper ball joints. if i can collect together all the parts i need in time, i may just end up parking the car for a while again and just do the whole suspension over. we will see, i have a pair of balljoints on the way from bmxicansd so ill see if ill wait to put them in or not.

i was approved for a 2 week vacation at the end of May, so thats the proposed week for my suspension rebuild. ive been collecting parts in anticipation, heres the current list:

already have
- prelude vtec calipers + brackets
- acura cl hubs
- new front bearings
- spc front upper balljoints
- new oem lower balljoints
- new upper control arms
- intrax uca anchors
- ES master urethane bushing kit
- russell speedbleeder valves
- goodridge SS brake lines
- reusing neuspeed race springs

still need to get
- prelude front rotors
- rear rotors
- pads all around
- axles
- new shocks (undecided)
- rear urethane bushing kit
- new rear calipers (depending on condition of mine)
- tie rods
- a bunch of new hardware/bolts

i dropped the head on today. didnt do too much besides bolting it down because its cold outside ill work on it during the week i hope.

cleaned out the combustion chambers a bit
